Jesse Williams guest stars on Sesame Street
Grey’s Anatomy actor Jesse Williams does guest appearance on Sesame Street. Williams appears on Thursday’s episode, teaching the word “furious” with Felix.
For Sesame Street visitors of all ages, characters like Elmo, Grover, and Cookie Monster aren’t just pieces of felt and faux fur on a human arm they’re living, breathing creatures.
Grey’s Anatomy actor Jesse Williams felt that same alchemy when he filmed a guest appearance on Sesame Street. Williams appears on Thursday’s episode, teaching viewers about the word furious alongside Elmo and a fly named Felix.
Though Williams had never acted with puppets before, it didn’t take long for him to adjust. I think about Elmo as a person, he tells EW. Once the camera’s rolling, it’s Elmo, and Elmo’s riffing. He’s alive, we’re both ad-libbing and making it work.
Growing up, Williams watched Sesame Street with his two brothers, and he recalls being a fan of Bert and Ernie, Grover, and Big Bird. Though Elmo joined Sesame Street later in Williams childhood, he was still thrilled to learn that he’d be appearing alongside the red guy. I was excited because Elmo is a slick character, Williams says. A lot of smart, under-the-breath humor. Very witty, very fast, which is an ideal scene partner. So I was excited, and I knew that it would be fun and that it would be spontaneous and we’d get to riff a bit and improv a little bit.

Image Credit: Lucasfilm Ltd. Star Wars Rebels has unveiled its villain, the Inquisitor, at New York Comic Con. The animated series, which premieres in fall 2014 with a one-hour special on the Disney Channel then segues into a series on Disney XD, takes place roughly 14 years after the events of Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, a time in which the Emperor’s rule is secure and the Empire is seeking to expand its power to Outer Rim territories. At the Lucasfilm panel, exec producer Dave Filoni revealed that the Inquisitor is tasked by Darth Vader to hunt down the remaining Jedi Knights. Star Wars Rebels is an upcoming CGI animated series that will be produced by Lucasfilm and Lucasfilm Animation.
The Empire’s propaganda machine is in full effect. Six pieces of Star Wars Rebels “patriotic art” were sent to 2,500 people around the globe and select media outlets, promoting the noble intentions and work of the Empire. These bold, graphic-style cards, urging galactic citizens to accept and even join the Empire, reflect the political landscape of the upcoming animated series.
Toy Story of Terror: A Scream for the smaller set
Want to give your kids a horror-film education but they’re too young to watch Drew Barrymore get dismembered? Solution: Toy Story of Terror.

Want to give your kids a horror-film education but think they’re just a little too young to watch Drew Barrymore get dismembered? Here’s a simple solution: Just plop them in front of Toy Story of Terror, a sitcom-length special that debuts on network TV tonight.
Older fans are, of course, welcome to enjoy the show as well like any Pixar property, it’s designed for viewers of all ages. (Anyone 20ish or older will be especially amused by a new character called Combat Carl, voiced with perfect action-hero bravado by Rocky and Arrested Development star Carl Weathers.) But younger viewers stand to gain the most, since TSoT isn’t just a short featuring some of the studio’s most beloved characters; it’s a genuinely spooky half-hour that doubles as a clever, concise deconstruction of horror as a genre.
Toy Story of Terror opens with the denizens of Bonnie’s toy box Buzz, Woody, Jessie, and the rest, all played by the original film series’ big-name voice actors huddling together as they watch an old-fashioned black-and-white vampire movie. Their viewing session is frequently punctuated by commentary from Mr. Pricklepants, a lederhosen-clad stuffed hedgehog who speaks with Timothy Dalton’s highfalutin diction.
