Earlier this week, PledgeMusic announced their appointment of Dan Gosh-Roy as Head of Marketing and Digital Strategy. The newly created position is based in New York City, reporting to CEO Dave Hackett and will be geared towards sharing the PledgeMusic mission and message with with artists and fans based all around the world.
Ghosh-Roy brings a host of industry connections and an impressive track record to the table. PledgeMusic is looking to “further leverage their unique marketplace to cultivate more opportunities and value for artists, labels, and brands in music.” Gosh-Roy will see to it that that growth takes place in his new roles overseeing all global marketing initiatives at PledgeMusic. On the artist side of Pledge Music, Ghosh-Roy will spearhead the company’s artist roundtable program. He’ll meet with PledgeMusic Artist community members and will help them create appropriate, efficient, and executable campaigns both on and off PledgeMusic’s platform. He’ll also be charged with growing the PledgeMusic Fan Community and will do so through the use of multi-platform campaigns.
Ghosh-Roy, most recently Senior Vice President of Digital Strategy, Development & Operations at Ultra Music, has dedicated 15 consecutive years to the industry. Prior to being at Ultra, he executed some of the most notable global campaigns in music for artists such as Coldplay, David Guetta, Katy Perry, and several others with the North American Digital Operations team at EMI Music.
